The United Chans is an interchan organization consisting of four members: GETchan, /leftypol/, Lupchan, and Ponychan, and one observer, /ref/. The late Dubschan, efchan, Equestriachan, Funchan, Lunachan, and MLPchan were also members until their shutdown. Oniichan was an observer until its shutdown. The United Chans was founded on 22 September, 2012 by GETchan, Lunachan and MLPchan.
Origins[]
Ideas of an interchan organization began with a thread titled "efchan-Lunachan embassy" on Lunachan's /chat/ board. Talks of a possible interchan organization as well as an alliance between chans began in this thread between GETchan's King of GETs and Lunachan's Zeke Roa. GETchan and Lunachan both agreed on the details and decided to form the United Chans once a third member was involved. GETchan and Lunachan then went to efchan to ask them if they desired a spot. This was promptly refused by the efchan staff. Instead, talks of the possibility of MLPchan joining began. MLPchan's Anonthony agreed and the United Chans was formed.
Enlargements[]
The first enlargement of the United Chans occurred late February/early March, 2013 with the reopening of Equestriachan. The staff of GETchan quickly offered to assist the staff with their site. Soon afterwards, Equestriachan made the decision of joining the United Chans. Ponychan was also invited not long after. The admin accepted the invitation with gratitude. The second enlargement of the United Chans occurred late July, 2013. During /ref/'s unexpected downtime, GETchan's staff gave them refuge. This helped strengthen the bond between both chans and /ref/ joined the United Chans five days later. Dubschan also decided to join the day after. The third, and biggest enlargement so far, included efchan, which asked to join on 5 May, 2014, Lupchan, which joined on 10 May, 2014, and Funchan which asked to join on 17 May, 2014. Upon the formation of the USSC, /leftypol/ was automatically made part of the organization.
